Haiti Missing Persons – We have received a few emails and telephone calls regarding locate cases for people in Haiti. Right now due to Haiti’s telephone lines, we are unable to gain access via telephone.

The State Department Operations Center has set up the following number for Americans seeking information about family members in Haiti: 1-888-407-4747 (due to heavy volume, some callers may receive a recording). Our embassy is still in the early stages of contacting American Citizens through our Warden Network. Communications are very difficult within Haiti at this time.
You can also register on the Red Cross website to locate a missing person in Haiti. You can register the relative / friend you are looking for, check the list of registered peoples, or register yourself for other individuals to contact you.
